red carpet ready
Today's post is from Nicole James, Mary Kay's manager of brand development. Nicole says, "Since I was a little girl, I always wanted to work in the beauty industry. Now, I’m the brand manager for Mary Kay and get to work on creating our irresistible products. For those of you who are wondering what it’s like to work for a beauty company…it’s awesome."
I love the Hollywood award season, but not for the reason you may think. I’m really not concerned with who has the best song, video, movie or any of that. For me, it’s all about the red carpet. Who wore what? Who rocked the hottest makeup trend? Who set the next trend? Who needs to hire a new stylist?
That’s really all I want to know. Yes, the fierceness factor is more important than the acceptance speech.
It’s always interesting to see what makeup trends are showcased during the awards. We all saw the red lips as a hot trend this award season. Beautiful, full eyebrows and lush lashes were hot also. But one trend that never, ever goes out of style is great skin. A glowing complexion sets the tone. It’s the first step in creating the perfect face.
For great skin, it’s really important to find products that fit your current skin care needs. Our skin care needs change from season to season and year after year. I love Mary Kay’s new Skin Care Regime App. Once you download the app, you can quickly determine the best products for your skin.
Sometimes we need a little extra boost to help our skin look youthful. I’ll share a little secret with you that I learned from a celebrity makeup artist. Apply Mary Kay’s TimeWise Moisture Renewing Gel Mask and leave it on for about 10 minutes before doing your makeup. It gives your skin just the right amount of hydration and helps create a natural glow that makes skin look younger and healthier.
I’ve shared one of my favorite skin care tips with you, so now tell me your favorite tip for red carpet worthy skin?
