First summer living in the heat of Nevada and I surely enjoyed the summer. However, It was very hot (which isn't my favorite) and it came with severe dust storms at times. The sun and wind really does a number on your skin! After a long summer your skin can become rough, dry and wrinkled and this is no way to start this holiday season!

Mary Kay®  TimeWise Repair™ is powered by Mary Kay’s exclusive TimeWise Repair™ Volu-Firm™ Complex, a formula containing biomimetic peptides, hyaluronic acid booster and plant stem cells, to support skin repair while providing youthful firmness and lift. Each of the five products works to target aging skin by increasing cell renewal and elasticity and promoting the production of collagen. Restore what was lost and lift away the years with this scientifically innovative regimen that proves it’s never too late to rescue skin from the damage of the past and recapture a vision of youthfulness.
  • The look of deep lines and wrinkles is reduced
  • Lifted facial contours are restored.
  • Youthful volume is recaptured.
  • Even skin tone is revealed.
  • Vital moisture is replenished.
WOW!!! I love it...reduce, restore, recapture, reveal and replenish. Sounds like a real recipe for success, doesn't it? After cleansing with what I can only call a miracle clean, followed by the luscious night refreshes and renews your skin while you sleep and feels super good. I have always thought that my face was oily but after using this cream, it really felt nourished and soft...not greasy. Using the day cream was also awesome. It contains sunscreen so when you go outside (the sun can still be dangerous, even in the cooler weather!) you should always protect your skin. It evens out skin tone and will reduce redness, sagging and wrinkles!

TimeWise Repair Volu-Firm Night Treatment with Retinol and the TimeWise Repair
Volu-Firm Day Cream with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30.

I am really loving the TimeWise Repair Volu-Firm Lifting Serum, it has a creamy gel-like texture and is extremly smooth and smells really good.
This serum has aided in firming and lifting my skin. What you do is apply it morning and night, smoothing it over your face and neck, working in a circular motion for the face and an up and down motion for the neck and WALLA.

I've had really great results and I'm looking forward to the long-term results of using these products. My skin can only get better and that is all thanks to Mary Kay. I am definitely recommening this product to any woman out there looking to improve her skin and get gorgeous for the holidays!

Notice the "Good Housekeeping" seal? They LOVE IT!!! All Mary Kay products come with a 100% Money Back Guarantee. Why not try it or one of the other amazing skin care products you will find at

5 Easy Steps to buy Lingerie for your Girlfriend, Wife or Significant Other

5 Easy Steps to buy Lingerie for your Girlfriend, Wife or Significant Other.

by Kiki Atwaroe

With special occasions like an anniversary or birthday always right around the corner, we understand that you might find yourself in a sticky situation when it comes to buying the perfect gift for your girl. But – not only do we understand the stress of finding a unique gift, we are here to help alleviate it!

Our suggestion is of course to buy lingerie for your lady! Now, stepping foot in a seductive and sensual marlies|dekkers shop might be a little too intimidating, but fear not! Online shopping is here to save the day!
Here is our 5 step fool-proof plan to giving the best gift a girl could ask for; lingerie!

Step 1: Confidence
Don’t worry about how long you’ve been together. Lingerie as a gift for girlfriend is naturally intimidating but can be a fun experience for both of you. Lingerie traditionally turns men on, but the truth is that most girls like it just as much for the same reasons. Play on this and remember that you want your girl to feel sexy in what you’re buying her. New relationships or long standing ones; buying lingerie as a gift for her is an excellent way to keep the attraction alive.

Step 2: Know Her!
Establish how your partner feels in the lingerie that she already owns. Is she is shy, conservative, self-conscious or outgoing, daring and willing to bare all?
When you buy lingerie for your girlfriend or wife, it really needs to be about the girl. There is a big difference between what men find sexy on women and what women find sexy on themselves. A woman can immediately tell if you bought a lingerie set that you think looks good on her without taking her into consideration while you were shopping for that perfect gift. This is not the time to be selfish!

Step 3; Style? Size?
Do your homework and come prepared! Take a peek in your partner’s underwear drawer while she isn’t looking before you go shopping. Note down her favourite items and write down what her bra size is – or simply take a picture of the label. Check the size on a couple of items as sizes can differentiate slightly across brands and styles.
After you discovered her size you can move on determining her style. There are three things to take note of:
  1. Bras: push up? balconette? plunge?
  2. Panties: briefs? boyshorts? thongs?
  3. Fabric: cotton? silk? lace?
Don’t forget colour options either! If you are not sure about the colour, search for something modern and classic. Black is always a good idea when you’re buying lingerie for your girlfriend, wife or significant other! For more information and for understanding the different bra styles you can visit ourFitting Room.

Step 4: The Purchase
At marlies|dekkers we offer stylish and unique luxury lingerie sets for women. You get what you pay for and high-end lingerie has a magical effect. When you buy Lingerie as a gift it should always come as matching sets of knickers and bras. Once you’ve chosen the bra, finding matching knickers should be easy. You can complete the look with accessories such as stockings, sexysuspenders and garters. Don’t forget to save the receipt just in case the sizing was slightly off.

Step 5: Giving the Gift
The final touch is the most important, right? Choosing gift wrapping should be as important as choosing to buy lingerie as a gift. Ask the lingerie to be placed inside an elegant gift box. For example; we offer a gift-wrapping service which includes a special silk bag and box.
Giving your lady lingerie as a gift will be a lovely surprise to her and we hope it’s equally as enjoyable for you too.
Take a look at our webshop to get a better idea of bra sizes and shapes and have the gift delivered at your office to save any potential gift-spoiling!  We’re always here to help you find the perfect lingerie gift for your girlfriend, wife or significant other.

Seven Habits of Incredibly Stylish Men

This story was originally published on D'Marge. We've all seen them; know one, even. The incredibly stylish gent. Whether a stranger on the train or that annoyingly suave guy at work, the stylish gent gets around these days. Subscribe to Executive Style's newsletter, delivered twice a week to your inbox Here are seven habits of the incredibly stylish gent worth noting now. Pen and paper, ready?
1) Know a good tailor
The stylish man knows his sizing limitations. Models are sample size so only models can buy straight off the rack and walk out of a store looking like a million bucks. To overcome the problem of long legs on trousers and sleeves that cover your hands, see someone with the gift of scissors, needle and thread – an alterations specialist. Nowadays it's super affordable (and a lot cheaper than having your own suit custom-made) and easy; when you buy new work pants, take the trousers straight to your fix-it person. Put on some weight? Get the trousers let out to avoid looking like a squashed sausage. No matter how much you spend or how beautiful the fabric, there's no faking it when it comes to fit. Jackets that sag and baggy pants that slump look careless and stop you looking like the stylish gent you want to be.
2) Well-maintained shoes matter

It's all about the shoes (and the suit and jeans and pressed shirt, but that's another story).
Shoes are the first thing to be noticed when you meet someone for the first time. Rocking up to work in the latest Hugo Boss mohair wool three-piece suit is killer. But wearing derby shoes that look like they have been chewed on by the dog is a crime against your colleagues and the beautiful suit itself. Wipe your leather shoes with a damp cloth at the end of each day to remove dirt and dust and set aside time each Sunday to polish up your shoes ahead of the working week. A pair of beautifully made, expensive shoes will never stand their ground unpolished, torn, faded or dirty. Treat shoes like you do your oral hygiene.
3) Run a well-oiled grooming machine

Starting with the hair, book your appointments well in advance with a reputable barber. Even if it's to trim the neck fluff or loose the impeding ball shape your hair is taking, four to six weeks is a good cycle to be on. Facial grooming now, the typical products – face wash, exfoliation and moisturiser – should be done daily, preferably in the morning so you don't forget before bed. For the shaven gent, keep the face super clean, hair-free and shave the regrowth daily. For those working the five-o'clock-shadow look, keep it neat with a razor trim every two to three days. Beard lovers, trim your growth weekly. The most important thing about having a grooming routine is setting it in advance and sticking to it.
4) Invest in key pieces

Splurging on timeless pieces for the wardrobe is essential. This means investing in key fashion items that transcend what's in trend for a season. Stylish gents take a more universal, simple approach. A slim pair of dark denim jeans, crisp white Oxford shirt, razor sharp casual blazer, camel trench, black wool trousers, leather carry-all, plain white tee, leather derby shoes, aviator sunglasses – these are classic essentials and will get you started. And because these are 'investments', buy these in the best quality fabrics (cashmere, merino wool, organic cotton, calfskin leather) you can. You'll be wearing any one of these pieces every day.
5) Know your wardrobe

Getting acquainted with your wardrobe takes the labour out of dressing each morning. Have a few key looks memorised for play and for work (pastel blue shirt, navy suit and dark tan brogues make for a tonal, smart, alternative to a 'snore' black and white business look). Trying key pieces on together in advance can do this, or simply visualise the textures and colours coming together in your head. Organising your clothes in the closet helps getting to know them better. Buy wooden hangers and space your clothes out so they become their own. You can get an idea what works or what's missing by seeing them all lined up together and they don't get crushed in the process. For extra assertiveness the night before, lay out the following day's outfit, including accessories. Then hang your pre-selected clothes in your wardrobe or if packing for travel, lie them straight into the suitcase.
6) Have an air of confidence

Stylish men carry themselves with confidence. There is nothing more unattractive than a guy who looks like he's trying too hard while looking uncertain about himself. The confident man owns his look, because it's an authentic expression of his personality and who he is. But the insecure jock is shifty and unsettled (evident with his body language) and his appearance will be noticeably self-conscious – fiddling with things, playing with his buttons, and looking at himself in every mirror or reflective window he can find. The clothes are wearing him, and not the other way around. Before you step out the house ask yourself this: Am I happy with how I look today? There's no point wearing something that isn't you, just because it's a trend. If yes, go face the world. From here, be authentic, take the occasional risk to challenge who you are and then, don't give your outfit a second thought.
7) Keep one's self in check

With the time, effort and often serious money spent on clothes and looking the part, letting it all come undone during the day is not an option for the stylish gent. So keep yourself in check. Not that we're suggesting being that self-conscious guy in the previous point who can't leave himself alone. It's more about assertively making sure you aren't letting things slip: flies zipped, shirt neatly re-tucked, and belt fastened properly. Lop-sided ties and blunt knots look messy, too; while a big tomato sauce stain on a work suit after lunch is a deadly style sin. The number thirteen gets a bad rap. There’s the infamous “Friday the 13th” and even some office buildings and hotels don’t have a 13th floor due to its unlucky nature. But at Mary Kay, we love “13”!
Fifty-two years ago today, September 13, 1963, Mary Kay Ash opened “Beauty by Mary Kay” in a 500-square-foot storefront in Dallas with a product line consisting of nine skin care and color cosmetics. Today, Mary Kay’s product portfolio has more than 200 skin care, fragrance and color cosmetics products sold by 3.5 million independent beauty consultants in more than 35 markets around the world. Did we mention that September 13, 1963 was also a Friday? With our global growth in the last five decades, you can see why “13” has become a special number for us.
Mary Kay Ash said it best, “Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.” Today, on our anniversary, we celebrate Mary Kay’s legacy and the millions of women’s lives we hope to enrich for many years to come.
Check out these fun facts you may not know about Mary Kay and the number “13”!

Best Cities for Single Women

Best Cities for Single Women
Love is in the air and many singles are prepping for the chocolate-fueled day we celebrate every Feb. 14. For single women looking to change their status, is Cupid’s arrow all about location, location, location?
To find out, NerdWallet crunched the numbers of the 50 largest U.S. cities to uncover the best places for single women. Unfortunately, due to a lack of specific data, our list isn’t able to break out information for lesbian, bisexual and transgendered singles.

Key takeaways

Consider the odds. All things being equal, living among many single men can’t hurt, right? In four of our top 10 cities, we found an excess number of single men for every 100 single women. Another way to look at it: In Baltimore, our top city for single men, there are 80.16 unmarried men for every 100 women.
It’s not about the coasts. Sure, San Francisco made the No. 1 spot thanks in large part to its great singles scene for women and enviable walkability, but consider the rest of the list: Minneapolis, Minnesota; Denver, Colorado; Austin, Texas; and Omaha, Nebraska, also are good options for single women.
NYC is not GFSW (Great for Single Women). Many have bemoaned the dating scene for women in New York City over the years. Now, we have data to back that up: U.S. Census Bureau figures show 82.57 single men for every 100 single women in New York City. And it’s expensive to date, too — $103 for a fairly simple night out. It doesn’t even crack our top 20 for single women.

Factors we considered

Availability of single men: We looked at the number of unmarried men for every 100 unmarried women in each city to see if the odds are in your favor.
Dating affordability: To calculate how much it costs to date, we looked at the price of a three-course meal for two and two movie tickets at a midrange restaurant in each city. We also considered the median earnings for workers to gauge the relative affordability of dating.
Social scene: We assessed date-friendliness by calculating the number of arts and entertainment businesses and restaurants per 1,000 residents in the metro area. We also included walk scores in this category to evaluate how easy it is to get around and meet people.
For more information on affordability on cities across the U.S., check out our Cost of Living Calculator.

Best cities for single women

1. San Francisco, California

San Francisco seems to have it all for single women: a deep pool of unmarried men, one of the most walkable city layouts in the country and a thriving social scene with three arts and entertainment businesses and restaurants per 1,000 residents.

2. Seattle, Washington

This Pacific Northwest city has no shortage of venues for meeting one of the over 16,000 unmarried men who live here. Seattle also seems to have some attraction for filmmakers tackling the subject of singlehood — in the iconic “Sleepless in Seattle” and “Singles,” 1992’s ode to grunge.

3. Minneapolis, Minnesota

This friendly Midwest city is one of only four places on our top 10 list with more unmarried men than women, but Minneapolis enjoys more than just favorable demographics. With over 16% of the city set aside for parks, there is ample opportunity to plan affordable outdoor dates in the summer. This, in combination with its lively theater and arts scene, makes it easy to socialize in the larger of the Twin Cities.

4. San Diego, California

This sunny city is home to incredible year-round weather, which makes it easy to enjoy the beaches and outdoor attractions. San Diego’s near-perfect climate and the nightlife and entertainment establishments in the historic Gaslamp Quarter make the city a top choice for single women looking for love.

5. Austin, Texas

With the largest number of unmarried men per 100 women, Austin offers women a statistical advantage, but the quirky Texas capital stands out for many reasons. It boasts a world-class music and arts scene, including the acclaimed South by Southwest Festival, which provides many opportunities to mingle and meet single men.

6. San Jose, California

This city in the heart of Silicon Valley boasts beautiful weather and a high median income that draws tech workers from all over the world to this unique region. Active singles have easy access to biking and hiking during the day, then at night, they fuel up at Santana Row or they head to bars and restaurants downtown, where they could catch a hockey game or a concert.

7. Long Beach, California

With the most entertainment, food and arts establishments on our list, this Southern California city is a place where residents can enjoy a city bursting with culture, which also makes it easier for singles to meet. When you add in the sunny days and mild nights, beaches and a city for walking, single life in Long Beach is all the sweeter.

8. Portland, Oregon

Portland may be proudly quirky in a laid-back Northwest way, but it’s still relatively inexpensive to go out for the night. The city offers many options for eating and entertainment — from the Oregon Symphony and a local music scene to an array of microbreweries, which are perfect date destinations.

9. Denver, Colorado

The mile-high city provides seemingly endless options for singles who seek easy access to the outdoors. However, the urban setting also delivers when it comes to arts and entertainment districts — such as the Santa Fe Arts District and the River North District — giving singles a place to meet up after biking or hiking all day.

10. Los Angeles, California

The City of Angels has it all, from access to the Pacific Ocean to a diverse nightlife and more, making it an ideal place for women looking for love. The numerous arts and entertainment venues, from casual dive bars to high-end clubs, provide unique opportunities for singles to meet.
